Adventures Beyond Wonderland Live is a wheel-based game show from Playtech, built around Lewis Carroll’s Alice story. Hosts in costume run every round on a set dressed like a storybook. Playtech announced a physical studio in New Jersey for US players in July 2023.

How the show works

Each round centers on a large vertical wheel. Bets go on the numbers 1, 2, 5, and 10, and every number pays its fixed multiplier. Bonus segments sit between them. Before a spin, random multipliers can be attached to some of the segments. That’s where the bigger wins come from.

The stream is the same across devices, so you’ll see that a live casino app on a phone shows the same wheel, and the same costumed host is the same as on a desktop browser. Bets close on a short countdown between spins. The studio itself revolves, and augmented reality elements let the wheel and the hosts share the screen.

WonderSpins and WalterSpins

Landing on a WonderSpins segment opens a second wheel of Wonderland characters, each with a base multiplier. An inner wheel can add more multipliers or extra spins on top.

WalterSpins arrived in a 2024 update. The player gets two spins on the bonus wheel, and before each one, Walter the Caterpillar pops bubbles that reveal multipliers for every character on it. Mystery bonus spins can also drop at random. In one version, the Caterpillar applies random multipliers to every betting position. In the other, the player picks a card from the Card Soldiers to reveal a prize multiplier.

Magic dice

Magic Dice moves the show to a tea party. The player picks a red or white die and climbs a 6×4 grid of multipliers and special symbols, and the top multiplier is 100x. A tea party is an odd backdrop for a casino table, and that oddness does a lot of the selling in gambling business marketing.

Choosing bets

The luck vs skill question has a short answer here. The wheel decides every outcome, and nothing a player does at the table changes where it lands. Skill only shows up in how chips are spread: a few on each number, or most of the stack on a bonus segment. The game’s listed RTP runs from 96.06% to 96.82%, depending on the bet.

Small stakes make a session last, and the bonus wheels can go a long stretch without showing up. A few rounds at a time suit this show best.
